We were delighted to be invited to decorate and customize a calico bag for Melbourne’s Australian Poetry Centre as part of the L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival.
Asked to quote from poems or lyrics the intense narratives of Nick Cave sprang to mind and our ‘Where the Wild Roses Grow’ bag came to life. Here is a snapshot of the result.

These bags will be exhibited as part of the Festival and made available to the general public to raise awareness about sustainable fashion and support the Australian Poetry Centre on the closing days on the Festival in March.
Sophie has been busy, busy working on the fabulous Bold and the Beautiful Neckpieces. I’ve uploaded some for you to see, they are all one of a kind pieces incorporating vintage elements. Sophie Kyron Jewellery accessorised the opening night of the fabulous Exposed! the story of swimwear exhibition at the Western Australian Museum. It is a revealing new exhibition that explores the history of the swimsuit and how it has shaped modern Australian society. The exhibition traces the origins of the swimsuit from its prudish beginning to the cheeky styles of today, and explores its significance to fashion, sports, and society’s views on the female form. The exhibition finishes on Sunday 7th February 2010.
Just received this stunning personalised Christmas card from Kate and family, what a gorgeous photo on the front!
